A little about the province
The province of Málaga is situated in the autonomic community of Andalusia. It is probably one of the few places in the world, where in a territory of 7308 square meters can be found the sea shore, the forest, and the snowy tops of the mountains. It is hardly ever colder than +15 degrees, the sun shines 300 days a year, and that is why the Málaga coast is named “The Sunny Coast”. Here can be found the famous Málaga Airport, the sea port from where the ships sail all over the world. Marbella and Puerto Banús are also here, and it is where the millionaires of all the planet build luxury villas and berth their yachts. It is, after all, in Málaga where Pablo Picasso was born in 1881.
The capital of the province of Málaga is Málaga Capital, that has a distinguished history, remarkable architecture and an exceptional ambient. When the horizon is clear, one can see the African coast from the shore of Málaga. It's not surprising, because there are only 12 kilometers between the two continents. Going to the west, in an hour and a half of the way you will get to Gibraltar, the territory of Her Majesty, the Queen of England.
In Málaga they speak the Andalusian dialect of the Spanish language. It differs from the classic Spanish in some more closed articulation, substitution of “g” and “b”, loss of the flexions of the words. Sometimes the people of Málaga lovingly call the sun “Lorenzo” and they care much about their province. They are very friendly, speak perfectly the language of the gestures and are able of leading simultaneously three or four dialogues. They like to help others, they are sincere and naive. They have much respect for their King and his family, they critique the government and believe in God.
The province of Málaga is formed by 100 towns, the most outstanding of which are described in our web page.
